The series follows Soma as he dodges supernatural traffic and bizarre street-level yokai just to make his daily lunchtime reservation at Googly Eyes — a mysterious, hole-in-the-wall ramen joint. But the real prize isn't the ocular tonkotsu brewed by the stoic octopus chef; it's Yuzuki. Their shared daily bowls of ramen have blossomed into a budding romance — a beautiful, intimate anchor in a surreal world that literally never blinks.
However, the Panoptic Ward is under threat from the Shutter Syndicate — an ancient yokai yakuza clan determined to sanitize the ward and establish sterile, absolute control.
